About The Position

As a nurse in our Pediatric & Medical Surgical unit at CHI St Vincent - Hot Springs, you’ll excel in your nursing career by providing care to patients admitted to our unit. Most of your patients are funneled in from other units providing you with the opportunity to build on your education and experience in specialized service lines such as cardiac, telemetry, orthopedics, neurology, critical care, surgical services, and emergency. We also have pediatric patients on this unit, which require specialized attention for their unique medical conditions. While you might not have pediatric admissions every day, this unit takes care of this patient population when they need our care. About Us: CHI St Vincent Hot Springs is a 280 bed faith-based, non-profit, Magnet Accredited facility providing quality health care to patients and communities from all over the State of Arkansas. As the only level II trauma center in the southwest part of the state, CHI St Vincent Hot Springs is the regional referral center for cardiology, trauma, neuro, ortho, oncology and critical care/pulmonary. Job Summary and Responsibilities As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, upon hire
  • Registered Nurse: AR, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 12 - months
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 90 Days

Responsibilities

  • ASSESSMENT Performs complete patient assessment.
  • Recognizes significant changes in patient status and seeks appropriate resources.
  • Coordinates or collects physiologic monitoring data: vital signs, monitor results, lab and diagnostic test results.
  • Performs ongoing assessment according to unit policy.
  • Documents assessment in compliance with hospital policy.
