About The Position

RN Regional Resource Pool: Flexible Work Schedule, Self-Scheduling, Premium Pay, and Resource Pool Differential This is a self-scheduling part-time position for night shift hours, minimum of 80 hours per month required. Must work at least 24 hours night shift on the weekend. Availability to cover at Sentara Careplex in Hampton and Sentara Obici in Suffolk is non-negotiable. Sentara Hospital Support Services is hiring an RN to work in our Resource Pool covering four hospitals in Western Tidewater and the Peninsula, (Hampton, Suffolk, Williamsburg, and Norfolk). Offers Premium Differential Pay, Flexible Self-Scheduling: (work up to Full-time hours if desired). Only required to provide the availability to work no more than two weeks in advance. Requires a minimum of 80 scheduled Night shift hours per pay month, of which at least 24 hours must be weekend night shift per month. Requires a minimum of 18 months of acute care RN experience.· Requires nurses to work in all units for which they are qualified and a minimum of two different units. Coverage at Sentara Careplex in Hampton and Sentara Obici in Suffolk is non-negotiable. Must reside within 75 miles and 90 minutes of all four hospitals in the Western Tidewater/Peninsula Resource Pool: Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center, Sentara Careplex in Hampton, Sentara Obici in Suffolk, Sentara Albemarle Medical Center, Sentara Norfolk General, Sentara Leigh, Sentara Princess Anne, Sentara Virginia Beach General. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse Diploma (Required)
• Registered Nurse License (Required)
• All Direct Care RN's required to have BLS within 90 days of hire
• Requires minimum RN experience of 18 months Medical/Surgical acute care
• Available to work Nights
• Part-time status, a minimum of 80 hours per month
• Must work at least 24 hours night shift on the weekend
