About The Position

Are you an experienced RN with a passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment? Our PCU is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team in providing progressive, step-down level care to patients who require close monitoring.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1-2 years RN experience, preferably in PCU, telemetry, intermediate care, or ICU step-down
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (American Heart Association )
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and clinical skills
• Proficient with telemetry monitoring and management of complex medical conditions

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to patients transitioning from ICU-level acuity or requiring higher-level monitoring than provided on med-surg units
• Monitor and assess vital signs, telemetry, IV drips, and complex care plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers, and support staff
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and ongoing care
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
• Respond effectively to changes in patient condition and escalate care appropriately.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and patient safety standards
