About The Position

Baptist Health is looking to add a Registered Nurse (RN) to our Cardiac Outpatient Services (COPS) Department at Baptist South in Jacksonville, FL. This is a PRN, day shift opportunity, M-F. No call and no holidays. As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Responsible for assessing Heart Center patients, including evaluating, continuously monitoring, interpreting, communicating, and recording patient conditions. RN coordinates with the physician's office, other RNs, the laboratory, dietary, x-ray, pharmacy, and other hospital areas. COPS RN perform TEEs, cardioversions, and Tilt Table tests. Reviewing charts with labs and current conditions of pre- and post-cath lab patients that are having heart catheterizations, peripheral angiograms, etc. Direct communication with various physicians regarding patient care issues and handling emergent patient situations. Performing initial assessment as needed. This Registered Nurse (RN) will be located at Baptist South. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree - Nursing
  • 2 years Critical Care Experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree - Nursing
  • Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred
  • Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Preferred
