About The Position
Waldorf Endoscopy Center isn’t your typical outpatient endoscopic facility. We believe in face-to-face, compassionate medicine, where patients feel reassured and unrushed. We specialize in colorectal cancer screening and the treatment of various diseases involving the digestive tract. But in our relaxed, freestanding facility, patients pay less than a hospital would charge. Our experienced physicians are dedicated to the Charles County community and surrounding areas. Whether you’re a future patient, referring physician or simply looking for more GI information, we have all the information to meet your needs. We are currently searching for Registered Nurse to work in Pre-op and Recovery on a Fulltime basis. The Center is currently open Tuesday- Friday. The candidate works cooperatively with staff and physicians and perform a variety of tasks.
Requirements
- demonstrate proficiency in acute care nursing, knowledge, and skills
- be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- have a current state license to practice as a registered nurse
- maintain basic cardiac life support certification and ACLS
- IV proficiency a must
- have at least two years of registered nurse experience
Responsibilities
- prepares patients for procedures
- assist physician during procedure
- provides care for patients in recovery
- actively participates in all Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement activities
