About The Position

6T provides comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring less monitoring than ICU, but more than a Medical-Surgical unit. Nurses on 6T have the opportunity to provide care to a wide array of patients undergoing various surgical procedures including, but not limited to, coronary artery bypass grafts, heart valve repairs and replacements, thoracic and aortic aneurysm repairs, lobectomies, VATS, advanced wound therapies, limb amputations, peripheral vascular bypass grafts and diagnostic cardiac catheterizations. In addition, the clinical nurse on 6T experiences the management of drains, tubes, invasive lines, interprets cardiac rhythms and initiates and monitors cardiac drips. Excellent candidates for RN Clinical Nurse I position on 6 Tower have superior critical thinking skills, thrive in a fast pace and high acuity setting, participate and contribute as an active member of the interdisciplinary care team and seeks out opportunity for personal and professional growth.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
