Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit - Full-Time
About The Position
As a Registered Nurse - IV, your nursing experience and leadership abilities allow you to develop and implement quality care plans for patients, while acting as a mentor to others on the unit. Job Title: Registered Nurse Department: Intensive Care Unit Location: Newark Wayne Hospital Hours Per Week: 36 Schedule: 6am-6pm OR 6pm-6am + every other weekend and holiday Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 RESPONSIBILITIES: Assessment - Perform initial and ongoing assessment of the patient; demonstrate exceptional clinical judgment and advanced assessment skills; communicate and document assessment with interdisciplinary team; utilize all available resources in order to meet the needs of the patient and family. Planning & Implementation - Develop and document plan of care, treatment and services; collaborate interdisciplinary health team to deliver care; maintains an appropriate nurse-patient relationship and provides an exceptional experience for the patient and family. Evaluation & Education - Evaluate, communicate and document patient responses to care; revise plan of care based on ongoing evaluations; ensure the patient receives and understands education/training specific to their needs and abilities. Training - Provide training for new team members on the unit; assume role of teacher for nursing students and other students shadowing on the unit; act as a resource for other team members for both clinical and non-clinical matters. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required. Registered Nurse License in State of New York. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Minimum of 6 months experience as a registered nurse. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Associates in Human Services or equivalent combination of education and work experience preferred. Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology or Human Services preferred. 1-3 years of healthcare experience in related field preferred. Strong communication skills. EDUCATION: BS: Nursing (Required) LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)American Heart Association (AHA), RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)New York State Education Department (NYSED) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting. PAY RANGE: $39.74 - $52.99 CITY: Newark POSTAL CODE: 14513 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Requirements
