About The Position

Regional West Health Services is an independent, integrated health care delivery system based in Scottsbluff, Nebraska that is seeking talented Registered Nurses.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Charge Nurse (RN) to lead clinical operations in our fast-paced ambulatory surgery center. The Charge Nurse provides direct patient care while serving as the clinical leader on shift, ensuring safe, efficient, and patient-centered surgical services.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
• Minimum 2–3 years of perioperative, PACU, or surgery center experience preferred
• Prior charge nurse or leadership experience strongly preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• Strong clinical judgment, leadership, and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced outpatient surgical environment

Nice To Haves

• Minimum 2–3 years of perioperative, PACU, or surgery center experience preferred
• Prior charge nurse or leadership experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and oversight for perioperative nursing staff
• Coordinate daily staffing, patient flow, and case scheduling
• Serve as a clinical resource for RNs, LPNs, and Surgical Technologists
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Assist with pre-op, intra-op, and post-op patient care as needed
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and administration to ensure smooth operations
• Address and resolve clinical issues, patient concerns, and staff questions in real time
• Participate in orientation, training, and performance evaluation of nursing staff
• Assist with quality improvement initiatives and policy adherence
