About The Position

The same day surgery nurse oversees and directs the care of pre and post-surgical patients of all ages. The nurse is responsible for the care of patients in all-surgical specialties. The same day surgery nurse assesses overall anesthesia recovery and educates patients and their families about homecare instructions.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program
• RN license active in the state of Missouri
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrate effective leadership abilities
• Exhibits valuable time management skills
• Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills
• Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• Previous nursing experience
