Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Triage phone calls from patients while NP/MD are in clinic.
• Consult with MD/NP throughout the day regarding patient calls, patient concerns, and symptom management interventions.
• Counsel patients having post-operative problems or experiencing toxicities or side effects from chemotherapy or radiation.
• Recommend symptom management according to established guidelines.
• Obtains histories from new patients and assists with patient/family care needs as needed.
