About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) provides safe, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients during a 12-hour night shift in East Liverpool, Ohio. This non-exempt role involves delivering direct patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. The ICU RN is accountable for assigned patients, demonstrates sound clinical judgment, and responds effectively to changes in patient condition. New graduate Registered Nurses are encouraged to apply and will receive appropriate orientation and clinical support to develop critical care skills. Requirements

  • Current and valid state RN License.
  • Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
  • Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
  • Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  • Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in accordance with established standards of care
  • Conduct focused and ongoing patient assessments, including vital signs and cardiac monitoring
  • Recognize and report changes in patient condition to physicians and the care team
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely per provider orders
  • Participate in patient and family education related to the plan of care
  • Collaborate with and support other nursing personnel
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Adhere to patient safety, infection prevention, and confidentiality requirements
