Where You Will Work: Fast paced, 34 bed medical-surgical unit with a staffing matrix to support a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6, HCTs 1:8-12. Diverse patient populations , including general and orthopedic surgeries, wound care, and many additional medical diagnoses to offer a wide variety of clinical experiences. The department features telemetry monitoring capabilities to support patient observation and enhance safety. The average daily census is 25 patients. Great, upbeat culture and friendly environment with ample support from an excellent group of well-experienced team members. Daily support includes unassigned team leads (charge nurse), unassigned clinical supervisor, and unit manager. We are a highly functioning team that practices nursing autonomy by utilizing evidence-based practice policies and procedures to provide the best care to our patients.
