Entity Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) Worker Type Employee Worker Sub-Type Regular Cost Center CC003725 COL - Emergency Department (DMC) Pay Rate Type Hourly Pay Grade Health-28 Scheduled Weekly Hours 36 Work Shift Day (United States of America) Job Description Entity/Organization: MUHA (Medical University Hospital Authority/Medical Center) Hours Per Week: 36 Days 7a-7p Scheduled Work Hours/Shift: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week Job Summary/Purpose: Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse I provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in nursing.
  • Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
