About The Position
Out Patient Surgery/ Floats to pre-work Shift; 9am-5:30pm - M-F with some closing shift. The RN prescribes, delegates, and coordinates nursing care of patients; participates in patient and family teaching; and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary, nursing, and other patient-team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Creates a positive customer service environment.
Requirements
- Current RN licensure recognized by the Kentucky State Board of Nursing is required.
- One year Outpatient Surgery experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assessment and identification of patient needs
- Implementation of appropriate interventions considering the needs of patient populations per department scope of service.
- Delegation of nursing care activities and provisions of supervision
- Establishes and maintains a plan for the delivery of nursing care
- Assures that nursing care interventions and activities are directed to resolve problems
- Performs technical aspects of care competently.
