Schedule: PRN What You’ll Do In conjunction with the medical plan of care, independently performs systematic and continuous assessment of the physical, emotional, clinical, and psychosocial needs of assigned patients and families; plans and implements appropriate interventions; and evaluates effectiveness and adjusts plan as indicated in a timely manner in the provision of safe and effective care. Freeman in Joplin, Missouri, is a 460-bed, three-hospital system providing comprehensive healthcare services to an area that includes more than 450,000 from Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. Freeman Health System includes Freeman Hospital West, Freeman Hospital East, Freeman Neosho Hospital and Ozark Center – the area’s largest provider of behavioral health services – as well as two urgent care clinics, dozens of physician clinics and a variety of specialty services.
Requirements
- AHA ACLS within 180 days.
- AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers within 30 days.
- AHA PALS Provider within 180 days.
- Current Kansas Registered Nurse license or current Registered Nurse license from a compact state. If a compact license is held, it must be in the nurse’s state of residence.
- Perioperative RN Competency Day annually by transcript due date.

- Plans and implements appropriate interventions
- Evaluates effectiveness and adjusts plan as indicated in a timely manner in the provision of safe and effective care
