Methodist’s Renal/Metabolic Care unit (B5/C5) is a 26-bed unit provides 24-hour care to acutely ill patients. We are a medical unit that cares for patients with a variety of medical diagnosis, including renal disease, diabetes management, wound management, pain management, and vascular access issues. supporting patients varying from young adult to the geriatric age group. This unit is the designated unit for providing all Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD) for Methodist Hospital. This unit also embodies an additional unit, B5, a 5-bed End of life care unit that is dedicated to the care of patients at the end of life, including both palliative and hospice care. This position currently qualifies for a NEW hourly wage differential in addition to standard shift and holiday differentials. More details about this differential will be provided during the interview process. Requirements

  • Requires Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
  • The Registered Nurse (RN) must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
