About The Position
As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. About This Location: Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) is the flagship hospital of Atrium Health, which is distinguished throughout the Southeastern United States for its excellent patient care and medical expertise. CMC serves as the region’s only Level 1 Trauma center, is Magnet-designated, and an approved transplant center for heart, kidney, pancreas and liver. We also serve as one of North Carolina’s five Academic Medical Center Teaching Hospitals, providing residency training for more than 200 physicians in 15 specialties and serve as a satellite for the medical school at UNC-Chapel Hill. Where You Will Work: 11A Trauma Step-Down is a 24-bed unit that provides care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. 11A is exclusively a trauma floor and works with the Surgical Trauma Service to care for stable patients with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, chest & abdominal trauma (blunt force or penetrating), and orthopedic injuries resulting from trauma. Carolinas Medical Center is the region’s only Level 1 trauma center and 11A trauma step down is proud to care for this unique patient population.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- 6 months of RN experience
