About The Position
The Hemodialysis RN is responsible for the direct nursing care and hemodialysis treatments on all assigned patients within the chronic hemodialysis unit; as a Team Leader, is responsible for the supervision of designated staff members; assists as needed with patient care and serves in a professional manner with emphasis on quality care.
Requirements
- graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- current registration with the Mississippi Board of Nursing
- ability to use a variety of physical motions in day-to-day activity including standing, turning, bending, stooping, lifting and climbing
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time without experiencing fatigue
- flexible to role changes when assigned to function as Team Leader or Staff RN
- willingness to function as Charge Nurse when designated by Nursing Supervisor, Clinical Director, or Dialysis Administrator
- ability to provide nursing care on assigned patients and to handle/direct problems to appropriate service
- demonstrated ability to accept responsibility and delegate duties to assigned personnel
Nice To Haves
- one year of dialysis experience preferred
