About The Position

The organization is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for its New Rochelle site. The Staff Registered Nurse is a licensed professional responsible for delivering direct nursing care to clients, ensuring quality care through ongoing assessment, planning, and implementation of nursing activities within the facility.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing Required
- New York State Registered Nurse License Required
- CPR/BLS Certification Required
Responsibilities
- Develops, implements and evaluates the nursing care regimens for clients.
- Plans, coordinates and assesses client care.
- Identifies client needs and provides direct nursing care based on the client’s care plan.
- Documents client care with accurate and accessible records.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to develop, implement and evaluate client care.
- Functions as preceptor to students, new hire candidates and other clinical team members/ staff when needed
- Administer prescribed medication to clients and keeps accurate records of all medication administered in accordance with law and Sun River Health policies and procedures
- Utilizes standing orders in accordance with Sun River Health policies and procedures
- Communicates with Pharmacy, Laboratories and other vendors as needed.
- Assists with medication refills per Sun River Health protocols
- Maintains professional competence through participation in staff development and educational program.
- Provides clinical education and counseling to patients for health promotion and disease prevention to improve health outcomes
