About The Position
The Huntington OR is an inpatient and outpatient surgical department serving pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients across multiple specialties, including orthopedics, general surgery, podiatry, pain management, endoscopy, gynecology, and obstetrics. The unit includes two operating room suites, one procedure room, seven pre‑operative/post‑operative rooms, and three PACU bays, supporting a broad range of surgical services. Nurses work closely with surgical technologists and surgical first assists in a collaborative perioperative environment. The department requires staff to live within 30 minutes of the facility to meet on‑call coverage needs and emphasizes teamwork, flexibility, and the delivery of safe, high‑quality surgical care for the community. Requirements
- Requires a Diploma in nursing or an ASN/BSN
- Valid Indiana Registered Nurse license required.
- CPR certification.
- Additional certifications may be required for specified areas.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, assist with 100 pounds. (Lifting requirements may be heavier for specified departments.)
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
