About The Position

Harborview Medical Center's Hobson Place Clinic has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN). Conveniently located in the north Beacon Hill neighborhood, Harborview’s Primary Care at Hobson Place Clinic offers comprehensive wellness care and treatment for acute and chronic illnesses for those over the age of 18. We emphasize engaging the unhoused, those living in shelters or in supportive housing in primary care, but are open to all community members for care. Our clinic is supported by a team of professionals with expertise in social work, chemical dependency, nutrition, podiatry, clinical pharmacy, and patient education. We are in collaboration with Seattle’s Downtown Emergency Service Center , who provide on-site mental health care and case management services for enrolled patients. Requirements

  • Active WA State or Multi-State RN License by start date
  • Minimum 2 years of acute or ambulatory care experience including experience with wound care
  • Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse populations, including patients with mental health and substance use disorders, and understanding their unique challenges

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate complex care plans for diverse patients, advocating for their needs and well-being
  • Provide walk-in and telephone triage in addition to comprehensive nursing care, including advanced wound management and dressing techniques; medication management and patient education; provide medical support as part of a team for patients undergoing mental health and substance use challenges; assist medical assistants with blood draws, point of care testing, vitals, and immunizations as needed; perform procedures such as IV rehydration and voiding trials
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, social workers, community partners, and families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Champion health equity and social justice through patient interactions and advocacy
  • Uphold trauma-informed and harm reduction principles in all aspects of your work.
