About The Position

Johnson Venture Management Solutions, Inc. (JVM Solutions) is recruiting Registered Nurses to provide direct patient care, Health Screenings, urgent care, and occupational health support at Artesia, NM FLETC Health Units. Health Screenings for incoming law enforcement students require an RN or higher professional degree to conduct per the contract. RNs may serve on the Emergency Medical Response Team with current ACLS certification. PRN positions are available for surge coverage when student populations increase.

Requirements

  • Associate or baccalaureate from ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
  • Current, valid, full, active, and unencumbered RN license in the applicable state (GA, NM, or SC)
  • Minimum one (1) year of healthcare field experience including urgent care within the last three (3) years
  • Current AHA BLS Provider certification
  • Proficiency in EMR documentation and SOAP note format
  • U.S. Citizen or alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence; DHS background investigation required

Nice To Haves

  • Current AHA ACLS certification (required for Emergency Medical Response Team assignment)
  • BSN or higher degree
  • Occupational health, urgent care, or federal/military health experience
  • CAOHC certification for audiogram administration

Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual student Health Screenings within the scheduled one-hour time period using FLETC Health Questionnaire, PPRS, and Privacy Act forms
  • Make medical clearance or restriction determinations; refer restricted students to physician or NP/PA within 12 hours
  • Provide urgent care for students and staff presenting to the Health Unit
  • Document all encounters in the SASS EMR in SOAP note format
  • Administer medications from the Government-approved formulary; maintain formulary inventory at minimum 90% stocking level at all times
  • Perform CLIA-waived point-of-care tests (glucose, strep A, influenza A/B, COVID antigen, urinalysis, pregnancy, mono, HbA1c, cholesterol)
  • Administer vaccinations (flu, Hep A/B, Td, Tdap, typhoid, and others) per CDC guidelines and CMO direction; document patient response in EMR
  • Serve on Emergency Medical Response Team (ACLS-certified RNs); respond to on-campus emergencies and run the code until EMS arrives
  • Complete TAIRS electronic questionnaire within 24–48 hours of treating occupational injuries
  • Complete OSHA recordkeeping (OSHA 300, 300A, 301) and direct patients to eComp (CA-1/CA-2) forms for workers compensation
  • Track and report SSTI/MRSA cases, rhabdomyolysis, and emerging disease cases
  • Maintain refrigerator temperature logs twice daily for all GFP/E refrigerators; maintain calibration and equipment logs
  • Coordinate off-site specialist referrals; submit weekly transportation spreadsheet on last training day of each week
  • Support MSP audiograms, spirometry, laboratory collection, and EKGs as trained
