About The Position

The staff RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the therapeutic environments, treatment and modalities and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Requirements

• Current California RN License.
• Current CPR and ACLS certifications required.
• Completion of Critical Care and Basic Dysrhythmia course if less than 2 years experience.
• Current NIHSS certification, or within 90 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

• 2 Years ICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Applies appropriate theory as a basis for decisions regarding nursing practice.
• The RN shall, for their patient, collaborate in the formulation of the overall plan of care for the patient, as evidenced by written documentation.
• Identifies problems specific to biophysical, cognitive, developmental, emotional, socio-cultural, and spiritual needs.
