About The Position
As a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, you will serve as a Circulating Nurse, working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs to ensure safe and efficient intra-operative care. Your responsibilities may include: You may work with a single complex case or rotate through multiple shorter procedures, depending on the day's surgical schedule. Opportunities Include: Adult and Pediatric Surgical Services Elective and urgent procedures Subspecialties such as orthopedics, neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, oncology, general surgery, GYN, and more Access to advanced surgical technology, including Da Vinci robotic systems This position requires participation in an on-call rotation with a 40-minute response time, qualifying for competitive call and differential pay.
Requirements
- Current RN License in the State of Florida
- 1-2 years of OR experience preferred (open to experienced acute care RNs seeking to transition into surgical services)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-focused environment
- Passion for delivering compassionate, high-quality surgical care
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
Nice To Haves
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree - Nursing
Responsibilities
- Verifying patient identity and procedural details
- Coordinating surgical room setup and instrumentation
- Monitoring patient status and advocating for their well-being
- Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring procedural safety standards
- Communicating with families and coordinating with PACU and pre-op teams
