About The Position

We are looking for passionate and dedicated Registered Nurses to join our team at Charter House! Responsibilities include: Delivery of direct resident care. Supervising the nursing care provided by our professional nursing team. Planning, implementing and evaluating resident care. Assessing plans in collaboration with the resident, family and/or significant other, and the interdisciplinary health care team. Adhering to the Standards of Nursing Practice and Nurse Practice Act. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Mayo Clinic does not participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited associate's degree or diploma program.
  • If graduated from a nursing program that was not accredited by ACEN, at least one year of RN experience within the last five years in an applicable care setting is required.
  • If graduation did not occur within the last two years, one year of RN experience in an applicable care setting or one year of current LPN experience at Mayo Clinic is required.
  • License/Certification Active Minnesota Registered Nurse License
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification for Health Care Providers Must be certified by one of the following providers: American Heart Associate, Red Cross, or Military Training Network.

Internal candidates that have not met their current department's 1- or 2-year commitment, must attach an early release approval from their current supervisor. Evaluation must be completed from an organization listed as a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) www.naces.org OR the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. (AICE) www.aice-eval.org .

Nice To Haves

  • One year of work experience in Long Term Care or Home Health or two years of acute care nursing is preferred.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Requires good communication and human relation skills to interact with Health Service and Charter House staff.
  • Strong problem solving skills are necessary with the ability to collect, compare, sort and prioritize information to be used in the decision-making process for groups of resident and employees.
  • Must be able to adapt to unpredictable situations and stress.
  • Works flexible hours, which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays and weekends.
