Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state -specific or compact, as applicable)
- Minimum of 1 year recent Med Surg and/or Orthopedic nursing experience preferred
- BLS required
- ACLS preferred
Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
- Provide post -operative and orthopedic nursing care, including joint replacement recovery
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor vital signs, pain levels, wound status, and neurovascular integrity
- Assist with patient mobility, ambulation, and use of assistive devices
- Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, mobility restrictions, and discharge instructions
- Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Identify and respond to changes in patient condition and escalate as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines
