Devereux Arizona’s Residential Treatment Center (RTC) is a beautiful 24-hour, 10-acre campus located in the heart of Scottsdale. The RTC is a safe, supportive environment that provides various services to youth, from the ages of 7 to 17, who are experiencing emotional, behavioral, or substance abuse challenges. The Campus features dormitories, a therapeutic K-12 day school, food services, medical/nursing, and therapy services. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide direct daily medical management for our adolescent population, as well as provide, review, and follow-up with medical providers as to the effectiveness and/or possible side effects noted of medications administered. This position provides supervision regarding safety issues/crisis intervention for the campus population, infection control protocols, and general medical management. The RN will maintain effective communication with all departments involved with direct client care and will provide education/training of direct care personnel involved with the Medication Technician Certification Program at the Group Home Level. Salary: $38/hr - $41.80/hr Shift Differentials: $2/hr. 3:00pm - 11:00pm; $4/hr. 11:00pm-7:00am Full Time Overnight Schedule: Monday - Thursday 9:00pm - 8:00am Location: 6436 E Sweetwater Ave., Scottsdale, Arizona 85254

Requirements

  • Current valid RN license to practice in Arizona with no restrictions required
  • Associate's Degree from an accredited school of nursing required
  • Six (6) months nursing experience required
  • Must attend mandatory two (2) weeks of paid New Hire Orientation: Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm, followed by on the job training
  • Must be 21 years of age or older (per licensing standards)
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License & pass DMV 36-month history check
  • Pre-employment Physical and Job Demand Assessment (if applicable)
  • Drug test within 24hrs of offer w/ negative results
  • Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions ( OR eligibility to obtain with no restrictions). Arizona Revised Statutes Notice (ARS 36-411 Residential care institutions; nursing care institutions; home health agencies; fingerprinting requirements; exemptions; definitions). If a person's employment record contains a six-month or longer time frame during which the person was not employed by any employer, a completed application with a new set of fingerprints shall be submitted to the department of public safety.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Previous behavioral health experience with children/adolescents or pediatric nursing preferred
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and multitasking skills
