About The Position

As a Registered Nurse at MPC, you’ll play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care across surgical, preparation, and recovery settings. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient workflows while supporting positive patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • BLS certification required
  • PACU experience required
  • Knowledge of state Nurse Practice Act and evolving nursing trends
  • Strong patient assessment and monitoring skills
  • Experience interpreting vital signs and levels of consciousness
  • Knowledge of surgical and scrub protocols
  • Ability to operate C-Arm/fluoroscope (as assigned)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team

Nice To Haves

  • CPAN certification preferred
  • ACLS certification preferred
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in the OR and/or PACU preferred
  • IV starting skills preferred

Responsibilities

  • Obtain and document comprehensive nursing histories
  • Perform patient assessments with knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology
  • Monitor and record vital signs; identify and report abnormalities
  • Evaluate patient responses and document outcomes in medical records
  • Develop and update individualized care plans
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and care teams to establish goals and priorities
  • Communicate care plans effectively to ensure continuity across shifts
  • Use care plans to guide safe, therapeutic patient care
  • Support adherence to nursing standards, policies, and procedures
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary activities to ensure a safe patient environment
  • Supervise nonprofessional personnel as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records
  • Prepare and maintain operating rooms, ensuring equipment and supplies are ready
  • Assist surgeons during procedures by providing instruments and support
  • Monitor patient condition before, during, and after surgery
  • Conduct preoperative assessments to identify risks or complications
  • Implement infection control protocols
  • Operate C-Arm and fluoroscope under surgeon guidance
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Maintain accountability for clinical care delivery
  • Support ongoing professional growth through education and training
