About The Position
It's more than a career, it's a calling MO-SSM Health Saint Louis University West Pavilion Worker Type: Regular Job Highlights: Schedule consists of four ten-hour shifts per week. Shift hours are 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM or until all patients are discharged for the day. Weekend rotation occurs every 4-6 weeks, typically with shorter shifts from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. On-call rotation for weekend shifts occurs approximately every 4-6 weeks. Job Summary: The Registered Nurse is a professional practitioner who assesses, manages, directs, and provides nursing care care activities during the patient's hospital stay and coordinates planning with other disciplines utilizing a patient/customer driven approach.
Requirements
- Licensed to work as an RN in the state of Missouri
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
- Registered Nurse (RN) Issued by Compact State
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN)
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services
Responsibilities
- Performs comprehensive nursing assessment/reassessment.
- Establishes, coordinates and evaluates a plan of care based on analysis of assessment data, patient diagnosis, lab data, tests, procedures, physician orders, protocols and standards of care and other information as relevant.
- Provides and documents nursing interventions based on assessed patient needs, plan of care, and changes in patient status.
- Documents and or communicates nursing care and or changes in patient condition.
- Specialized Care: Provides specialized care to patients at high risk for injury.
- Demonstrates accountability for own professional practice.
- Ability to relate to coworkers in a professional and appropriate manner.
- Safety/Infection Control: Performs job in accordance with safety and infection control policies.
- Service: Provides service excellence to the customers of Saint Louis University Hospital by delivering timely, high quality care in a courteous and respectful manner.
