About The Position

Exceptional Care for Children (ECC) is thrilled to offer a unique opportunity to join our passionate and expanding healthcare team as a Registered Nurse. Schedule: Full-time 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (6pm-6am), Every third weekend Location: Delaware's first and only pediatric skilled nursing facility in Newark At ECC, we're more than just a nursing facility, we're a place our patients call home. Requirements

  • Education and experience sufficient to meet position requirements.
  • Valid RN license in state of DE, compact state, or ability to obtain via reciprocity.
  • 1 or more years of experience preferred.
  • Possess special interest in working with pediatric long term care residents and children with special needs.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English and to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers, vendors and other staff members.
  • Personifies Exceptional Care for Children's core values of Service, Helpfulness, Excellence, Leadership, Dedication, Outstanding Conduct and Integrity, and Nurturing.

Responsibilities

  • Provides care and advocacy to residents requiring clinical expertise, and follows nursing process
  • Documents accurately and completely
  • Advocates for residents within and outside of Exceptional Care for Children.
  • Manages workflow of Staff Certified Nursing Assistant who provide care to assigned patients. Acts as charge RN when indicated.
