About The Position

Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and supervise the nursing care of patients within assigned area. Plan and facilitate daily nursing groups with patients. Complete standard nursing assessment of patients admitted to the partial hospital program; supervise medication administration per departmental policy.

Requirements

• License/certification/registration required by law: RN
• Required certifications or professional credentials that Children's requires: Licensed in state of Minnesota
• BLS
• Education: Associates degree in nursing required
• Two years or more experience as an RN
• Strong clinical skills with ability to exercise independent judgment, work autonomously, and exhibit high degree of professionalism
• Education and experience providing gender, culture, and age appropriate care
• Detail-oriented
• Strong computer/electronic medical record skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a pediatric-related setting
• Two years or more experience in mental health
• Strong understanding of child development, normal and atypical
• Ability to develop rapport with wide variety of patients and families
