Under physician’s supervision, provide and coordinate patient care; administer medications and medical treatment in accordance with medication administration guidelines and nursing techniques; prepare equipment and aid physicians during treatment and examinations of patients; observe patients and record significant conditions and reactions and notify supervisor or physician of patient's condition and reaction to drugs, treatment, and significant incidents; obtain patient temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of patient; obtain data to initiate, implement, and revise plan of care to meet patient, physician, and family needs; perform medical procedures safely and proficiently; and produce and maintain documentation that initiates, follows and revises patient's plan of care in accordance with regulatory requirements and patient’s progress.
