Our PreOp/PACU/Recovery Care Unit is a dynamic environment that supports patients through the full perioperative journey. With 81 patient rooms, we provide comprehensive care during the pre-operative phase, Phase I critical recovery, and Phase II discharge preparation. We care for a diverse patient population undergoing a wide range of procedures, including: -Surgical Specialties: Orthopedic, ENT, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, GYN, and more -Gastrointestinal Procedures -Cardiac Catheterization Lab Procedures -Radiology-Guided Interventions Our nurses and staff play a vital role in: -Preparing patients for anesthesia and procedures. -Providing vigilant monitoring and support during Phase I recovery—a critical and vulnerable time for patients. -Delivering compassionate care during Phase II recovery, ensuring patients are stable, educated, and ready for discharge. -Collaborating across specialties to ensure seamless transitions and optimal outcomes. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to patients.
