About The Position

Description Summary: A Registered Nurse renders professional nursing care to patients, within an assigned unit or authorized community health center site, in support of medical care as directed by the medical staff and pursuant to the objectives and policies of the Sun River Community Health. In addition, this position will perform duties assigned on as needed basis. Job Type: Full Time Pay: $80.00/hr Essential duties and responsibilities of a Registered Nurse: Develops, implements and evaluates the nursing care regimens for clients. Plans, coordinates and assesses client care. Identifies client needs and provides direct nursing care based on the client’s care plan. Documents client care with accurate and accessible records. Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to develop, implement and evaluate client care. Functions as preceptor to students, new hire candidates and other clinical team members/ staff when needed Administer prescribed medication to clients and keeps accurate records of all medication administered in accordance with law and Sun River Health policies and procedures Utilizes standing orders in accordance with Sun River Health policies and procedures Communicates with Pharmacy, Laboratories and other vendors as needed. Assists with medication refills per Sun River Health protocols Maintains professional competence through participation in staff development and educational program. Provides clinical education and counseling to patients for health promotion and disease prevention to improve health outcomes Administer prescribed medication to clients and keeps accurate records of all medication administered in accordance with law and Sun River Health policies and procedures Functions as preceptor to students, new hire candidates and other clinical team members/ staff when needed

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Nursing Required
• New York State Registered Nurse License Required
• CPR/BLS Certification Required
