About The Position

Part Time Registered Nurse - Rotating Weekends Pay: $40 to $44 an hour, depending on experience Hours: Saturday to Sunday 7:00pm to 7:00am overnights, rotating Location: 3205 N Twyman Rd, Independence, MO 64058 Are you a compassionate and skilled nurse ready to make a real impact in adolescent mental health? Every day, as a RN at Embark Behavioral Health, you'll be a trusted source of care and support for teens (ages 12-17) —assessing their needs, administering medications, and ensuring they feel safe and heard. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, communicate with families, and advocate for students in their healing journey. Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
  • CPR Certification
  • Must be prepared to establish a CAQH profile and obtain a National Provider Identifier (NPI) as part of the onboarding process.
  • Experience in medication administration and patient care
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, nursing techniques, and legal charting
  • Ability to assess vital signs and communicate medical information effectively
  • Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including frequent standing, walking across a large campus, and responding safely and effectively during crisis situations.

Responsibilities

  • Be a trusted caregiver by assessing and responding when a student isn’t feeling well.
  • Support student well-being by monitoring vitals, administering medications, and tracking health progress.
  • Collaborate with families and the care team by sharing important medical updates and advocating for student needs.
  • Ensure safety and accuracy by tracking and documenting medications, including narcotics, every shift.
  • Provide additional floor coverage on weekends to support staff and students and receive training in safe verbal de-escalation and physical intervention techniques to support upset teens as they arise.
  • Play a key role in the healing journey by observing and documenting mood, behavior, and overall health.
