About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. The RN will deliver advanced, high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients with complex or life-threatening conditions. This role requires collaboration with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and nursing staff to provide patient-centered care that aligns with hospital policies and unit standards. The ICU RN plays a critical role in patient advocacy, clinical assessment, and intervention, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients while supporting families throughout the continuum of care.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU/CCU or CVICU nursing experience (required)
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills in high-pressure environments.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and clinical documentation.
• Clinical competence in managing complex patient conditions.
• Successful completion of Critical Care Course required.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
• Current Florida RN License (unrestricted).
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Must clear background and drug test required.

Nice To Haves

• Critical Care certification preferred (CCRN).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and specialized nursing care for critically ill patients in the Medical/Surgical ICU.
• Perform through assessments, administer treatments, and evaluate patient responses.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and manage emergency situations effectively.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Float to other units as assigned when patient care needs arise.
