About The Position

Join the dedicated Telemetry team at St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee, where you’ll care for a diverse patient population with a focus on cardiac monitoring and stroke recovery. This is a great opportunity for experienced RNs eager to explore a high-acuity specialty in a supportive hospital setting. The role involves providing compassionate, patient-centered care, monitoring and interpreting telemetry readings, performing routine RN duties including assessments, bedside dialysis, and medication administration, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support recovery and improve outcomes. Requirements

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit.
• The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to their assigned patients.
• They communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
• Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
