About The Position

Full time salaried position for an Occupational Health Registered Nurse, BSN preferred, in the dynamic employee health clinic within a pharmaceutical site. The position is in person, during core business hours, Monday to Friday, with occasional on-call clinical coverage in a setting that is open 24/7. This coverage may include nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs occur. Reports to Director Global Employee Health, collaborates with multidisciplinary team including nurse practitioners, RN’s, paramedics and MA’s. A dedicated team player with a learning mindset is essential

Requirements

  • Must have a HS Diploma or GED and a nursing degree from an accredited nursing program with a BSN preferred.
  • Must have an active PA nursing license in good standing.
  • Minimum 5 years clinical experience in occupational health, emergency department or related fields preferred.
  • Occupational Health experience including PA workers compensation desirable.
  • BLS and ACLS certification preferred.
  • Proficiency required in triage of patients, medication administration via route ordered, and in documentation of care including use of an electronic medical record.

Responsibilities

  • Management of occupational and non-occupational illnesses and injuries including medical emergencies: triage, perform nursing interventions, referral to the appropriate level of care.
  • Case management of work-related injuries in collaboration with key stakeholders and WC Third Party Administrator
  • Assessment and disposition of employees returning to work from personal and work-related absences
  • Perform tasks related to medical surveillance program: reviewing questionnaires, administering vaccinations, collecting lab specimens, testing vision, performing audiometry and spirometry, and reviewing results of tests for determination of follow up actions.
  • Participation and collaboration with Health Services team to plan and implement wellness activities including vaccination campaigns and other company sponsored events.
