Registered Nurse- Per Diem- Preop/Phase 2/PACU- MMC Ambulatory Surgery Center at Rockaway
About The Position
Atlantic Heath System is seeking an experienced RN to work per-diem for the PACU/Preop/Phase II Recovery at the MMC Ambulatory Surgery Center in Rockaway, NJ to work variable shifts between the hours of 6AM - 6PM. Responsible for working with other healthcare professionals to help treat patients undergoing ambulatory surgery and other procedures including but not limited to; Colonoscopies, Ortho sports and minor trauma, Ortho hand, GYN, Laparoscopic, Plastics, Urology, General, Rectal, Podiatry, Pediatrics. Monitors patients, administers medications, keeps records, consults with healthcare providers, educates patients and more.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- All ADN must complete their BSN studies within five years of their start date.
- Master’s degree in nursing or related field.
- 1+ year of experience in Nursing or relevant area.
- PALS, ACLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports in EPIC.
- Administers medications to patients and monitors them for side effects and reactions.
- Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments.
- Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
- Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members.
- Records patient vital signs and medical information.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
