About The Position
MTC operates the North Central Correctional Complex and is seeking a Registered Nurse (PRN) to join their clinical team. This role offers valuable experience in a unique clinical setting, ranging from chronic care to emergencies, without the burden of extensive paperwork after shifts. The staff at MTC are dedicated to improving lives and helping to reduce recidivism through education, healthcare, and other services.
Requirements
- Degree in nursing
- Current, valid nursing license for the state of Ohio
- Current CPR certification
- Must work within Ohio State Broad of Nursing Scope of Practice
Responsibilities
- Attend sick call which is held daily
- Administer and record medications
- Handle urgent care cases as needed
- Confer with physician to refer inmates to the emergency room as required
