Requirements
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
- Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
Responsibilities
- Triage phone calls from patients while NP/MD are in clinic.
- Consult with MD/NP throughout the day regarding patient calls, patient concerns, and symptom management interventions.
- Counsel patients having post-operative problems or experiencing toxicities or side effects from chemotherapy or radiation.
- Recommend symptom management according to established guidelines.
- Obtains histories from new patients and assists with patient/family care needs as needed.
