About The Position
Spring 2026 New Grad Registered Nurse – CMC 10A Med/Tele Where You Will Work: 10A is a medical telemetry unit that provides 24-hour care to the adult population. This unit received the Heart of Nursing award recognizing each team member’s commitment to process improvement and improving quality and safety outcomes for our patients. Patients are admitted with acute medical and/or surgical conditions, including: COPD, infectious disease, diabetes, r/o TB, pneumonia, fever of unknown etiology and fluid/electrolyte imbalances. A 24-bed unit with private rooms, 16 of these rooms have negative pressure features.; Patient care services include but are not limited to: nursing assessment/evaluation, airway management and oxygen support, telemetry monitoring, intravenous therapy, infection control, fluid and electrolyte management, medication administration, nutritional support, safety and discharge planning. This unit utilizes self-scheduling, with a fair rotation of shifts to the cover department needs. 10A is aligned with the CMC plan for Nursing and utilizes the CMC Professional Practice Model for the delivery of patient care, the AACN synergy model for care coordination, and Jean Watson’s Theory of Human Caring as a theoretical framework for nursing practice. Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
Responsibilities
- As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
