This role is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Pre-Op and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) duties. In the PACU, the nurse will monitor patients, assessing airway, vital signs, pain, and surgical sites, and administer medications and interventions to manage pain, nausea, or complications. The position requires accurate documentation in the EMR system, effective communication with surgical teams and family members, and ensuring safe patient discharge or transfer. The nurse is also expected to maintain cleanliness of the Pre-op and PACU areas, participate in ongoing education and quality improvement, and adhere to infection control and safety protocols. The role demands strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and excellent communication skills within a fast-paced, team-oriented hospital environment.
