About The Position

As a Registered Nurse - Day shift in our healthcare facility, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care across diverse clinical settings. You will be responsible for assessing patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and maintaining accurate patient records. Your role will involve direct patient care, including wound management, telemetry monitoring, and providing education to patients and their families to promote health and recovery. You will advocate for patients' rights and well-being, ensuring they receive compassionate and comprehensive care tailored to their individual needs. Ultimately, your expertise will contribute to improved patient outcomes and the overall effectiveness of our medical and surgical nursing services.

Requirements

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States.
  • Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience, preferably in medical/surgical or telemetry settings.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
  • Advanced certifications such as Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN) or Pediatric Nursing Certification.
  • Experience working with pediatric patients and in patient advocacy roles.
  • Certification in wound care management.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care by monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing wound care procedures.
  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care to promote recovery and prevent complications.
  • Utilize telemetry equipment to monitor cardiac patients and respond promptly to any changes in their condition.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including nurse practitioners and physicians, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Advocate for patients' needs and preferences, ensuring ethical and patient-centered care in all nursing activities.
