About The Position
Emmanuel Hospice is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-Time RN to join our interdisciplinary hospice care team. This role provides skilled nursing care, education, and support to patients and families across multiple care settings. As a part time nurse, you will assist the nursing team with assessments, treatment planning, and interventions, while ensuring continuity of care across our service area.
Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Michigan
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required; 1 year in acute care or hospice preferred
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records required
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Comfortable working in varied environments, including patient homes and healthcare facilities
- Frequent travel required within the Emmanuel Hospice service area

Responsibilities
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients’ physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs
- Develop, evaluate, and update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Provide skilled nursing care including wound dressings, IVs, blood draws, and catheter care
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on symptom management, disease processes, and the hospice philosophy
- Coordinate with physicians, hospice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver exemplary end-of-life care
- Assist with bereavement counseling and provide emotional support to families and caregivers
- Perform urgent need visits and provide post-mortem care, including pronouncement of death and family support
- Supervise and evaluate Hospice Aide services, including periodic on-site visits
- Ensure compliance with Emmanuel Hospice policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
- Travel within the service area to patient homes and healthcare facilities
