About The Position

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care within the General Medical and Cardiology ward. This includes the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for patients with a wide range of acute and chronic medical and cardiac conditions. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care delivery in alignment with hospital policies.

Requirements

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum 12 months experience working as a Registered Nurse in an acute setting (medical or cardiology preferred)
• Must provide or complete a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
• According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.

Nice To Haves

• Competence in ECG interpretation and cardiac observation monitoring (highly desirable)

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop person-centred care plans
• Provide care to patients with cardiac conditions including post-myocardial infarction, heart failure, and arrhythmias
• Assist with the administration of medications, including cardiac-specific therapies, and monitor patient response
• Accurately document clinical observations, vital signs, and nursing interventions
• Monitor telemetry and support patients undergoing cardiac diagnostics and procedures
• Educate patients and their families about their health condition, medications, and ongoing care
• Collaborate effectively with medical, allied health, and support staff to deliver holistic care
• Comply with infection control standards and workplace safety procedures
• Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing professional development
