About The Position

Summary Facilitates patient flow. Advocate for patients as needed. Provides patient education. Provides safe, competent care while enhancing the care to all ages of patients in Family Practice areas. Provides direct care to patients under the direction of provider within scope of practice including chronic disease management. Organizes patient health information and updates electronic health records. Maintains emergency equipment and other resources needed to provide safe, high quality patient care. Supports provider practice by utilizing the nursing process and RN skills. Provides management of pharmacy refill program for patients. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) current license in the state of Minnesota required.
  • Current BLS certification. Exception: inability to complete certification process related to health conditions. Employees must complete education portion of Basic Life Support within 6 months.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Employees must complete education requirements within 6 months.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRT) NRP educational requirements to be completed within 1 year.
  • Completes trauma education as set for by level 4 trauma criteria within 1 year.
  • Ability to work well with team members and act as a leader for the nursing department clinical staff.
  • Good communication, computer, documentation, and time management skills.
  • Nursing RN assessment skills as well as procedural skills within scope of practice.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one year of clinic or related healthcare experience preferred, not required.
