About The Position

Weiser Memorial Hospital--rated as one of Idaho's best places to work--is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in labor and delivery. The RN provides direct and indirect patient care in the medical/surgical, obstetrics, and newborn setting, communicating with physicians, the nurse manager, and other clinical staff regarding results of diagnostic studies, symptomology, and quickly and accurately responding to changes to the patient's status. The RN is also expected to perform general nursing duties in other departments, with adequate supervision. We are currently hiring for a full-time, night-shift position. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
  • Currently Registered Nurse license with the State of Idaho.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Working experience in labor and delivery.
  • ACLS certified upon hire, preferred.
  • PALS certified upon hire, preferred.
  • NRP, preferred.
  • Fetal Heart Monitoring recommended.
  • Ability to use sound judgement and cope with potentially stressful situations.
  • Ability and willingness to exhibit behaviors consistent with standards of performance improvement and organizational values (e.g., efficiency, safety, partnership, service, teamwork, compassion, integrity, trust, and respect)
  • Availability to work weekends, rotating holidays, and equally share in on-call coverage, as needed.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.

  • ACLS certified upon hire, preferred.

  • NRP, preferred.
