Registered Nurse - RN - Progressive Care Unit
About The Position
This is a great opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join Loyola University Medical Center, located approximately 30 minutes from Downtown Chicago. The organization focuses on treating the whole person, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Loyola Medicine is seeking RNs dedicated to providing exceptional care, offering a supportive atmosphere for career growth and lasting impact. The unit is team-oriented, providing opportunities to manage a wide range of diagnoses and advance nursing skills. The 2NS unit is a hybrid unit with 17 dedicated stepdown beds and 20 remote telemetry-capable beds, offering a unique opportunity to treat patients with diverse medical conditions and varying acuities. Nurses will work in a supportive, team-oriented setting with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, pharmacy, physical/occupational therapy, and more. The unit provides supportive leadership and staff with a focused preceptor orientation and educator support.
Requirements
- A Degree from an accredited school/college of nursing is required - BSN or ADN
- BLS Provider (accredited by the American Heart Association) required prior to hire
- Illinois Board of Nursing license prior to hire
