About The Position

Tampa Bay Regional Surgery Center is hiring a Registered Nurse. The center was designed to provide patients with an ultimate experience in same-day surgical procedures, emphasizing unrivaled quality of care. It is fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology to perform various ophthalmic procedures. The Registered Nurse is responsible for ensuring continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, continually evaluating their condition, and maintaining patient safety, comfort, and privacy. The role may involve assisting physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques. The nurse will also provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, for patients recovering from general anesthesia and/or sedation, preparing them and their families for discharge.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
Active RN license in the state
BLS and ACLS Required
Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Nice To Haves

PALS if required by the center
2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred

Responsibilities

Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times
